Mental health support for pregnancy and post-natally
We offer Perinatal Mental Health Peer Support groups with a focus on walking alongside you, as the mother or birthing person. We offer a safe and nurturing space to offload, open up and safely share what is impacting you and your motherhood journey. We offer low-moderate mental health support alongside Peer to Peer conversations from those who have lived experience. There are hot drinks, biscuits and a helping hand ready to welcome you. We offer spaces for those who have babies from birth up to 18 months, or those who are pregnant for a second time onwards. We offer spaces for those who have babies from birth up to 18 months, or those who are pregnant for a second time onwards.
Groups are kept small, no more than 8-12 (depending on location) mothers, birthing people and babies in the room at any one time. We know and understand how overwhelming group environments can feel, so we keep them small to protect the psychological safety and your comfort.
Our groups are a great way to hear validation and reassurance about how you may be feeling. It is delivered and facilitated by Peer Support staff and volunteers who have lived experience of Perinatal Mental Health. It is a judgement free space, with confidentiality being a key part too.
We run 5 groups across the city, click our link and head down the Perinatal Peer Support to find out more.
